Everything Else | Collateral Beauty

Love, time & death. What would you do if you encounter them? This is just one of the concepts being tackled by the new Will Smith movie, and with the trailer alone I am already excited to see this. Just last night, I was talking with my friends about how recycled pop culture has become. And an original story with weird concept is really refreshing, and this is coming from a comic book fan who can’t wait for Wonder Woman and Justice League next year.

The movie has Will Smith in the lead, with supporting roles by Edward Norton, Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley, and Helen Mirren. It comes out December this year.

17:48 | What makes you excited? As I go about trying to answer a checklist for my IKIGAI Project, that’s one of the things I’ve been having a hard time answering even though I think I should already understand at this point what it was. But as I keep banging my head and meditating on past experience, I really do feel alive around numbers.

As a freelance statistical consultant for researchers and student researchers, I got to look at number a lot, and they really do excite me. Getting to compute for statistical significance between variables, making assessments, doing reports using charts, I really love numbers. I would keep awake for hours because I couldn’t make out the right method for a particular hypothesis.

And I didn’t feel that for the past year because of language studies. But now that I’m learning about stocks and looking at graphs again, I’m getting excited!

Everything Else | Music to Affirm Yourself

It’s hard to overcome the trials of everyday, when life just keeps on piling up the problems, and you just need that one burst of confidence to face it all and live through it.

What do you you use to get that push?

For me that would be a properly put together playlist that has the energy to get me pumping, and the message to make me ‘go get em’. It’s hard building such a playlist, because of the diversity of music, with so much trash to filter through before you get to that perfect tune.

That’s why I rely heavily on music suggestions by people with similar problems like me, and the music they put together to help them live through the pain is really something. It’s through these suggestions that I found Colin Hay, Joshua Radin, and a lot more artists who I never hear on mainstream radio but have that strong kind of music I need.

I suggest you go check them out. And give them a play during your workout, mediation, or whenever you need a boost.

Sims 4 | Clothing diversity is Pretty Slim

Sims 4 ClothesSo as I’m getting obsessed with my clothing preference and how I want to look [story here], and I thought it would be good to test out some looks in The Sims 4.

And I’m bothered by the fact that there just aren’t enough variety of clothing here. And it’s actually quite frustrating. Because as I see some inspirations in Pinterest [Men’s Board here], I just want to see how I could look in a controlled environment, before I actually go out there in the real world.

I’m really insecure, and I just can’t get myself to go out without looking right. Especially now that I’m bothering myself with this sort of stuff even.
